So you want to know how to control panic attacks?

I understand – in fact, I used to be in your place for many years and I too was eager to know the answer.

But first, let me ask you this: Would you say that what you fear most is having another attack?

If so, I have a secret I want to share with you…

Did you know that most panic attack sufferers are not aware of the fact that what they fear most, and practically obsessed with, is the next attack?

We, with this condition, always live on the edge, having mild anxiety attacks here in there, but we always live with the anticipation of that next major attack.

Isn’t it true?

So what is that secret? The secret is…

To learn how to control panic attacks by not being afraid of them!

It may sound simple and it is! But it is also immensely powerful – in fact all anxiety disorder experts agree that the single thing that fuels and reinforces the attacks is our conditioned fear of them. And the more we fear them the stronger the control, the stronger the grip, they have over us.

So what can you do about it?

1) Start an inner monologue by declaring a war against your condition. Here is an example: Address the attacks by saying out loud: “You are a fake. You do not scare me and you no longer have any power over me.”

2) Engage the fear by being provocative; challenge it by actually ‘inviting’ a panic attack to come “right now”, but this time on your own terms. Here is an example: “Let’s see how brave you are now. I dare you to attack me right here and right now. Go ahead – show me what you can do.”

You know what? It will never happen!

And you know what else? You have just won half of the war, bravo!

Warning: Exercising the above is key to cure panic attacks – do not neglect it!

Right now you may not be sure how to win the second half of the war. But soon you will!

So you want to know how stop panic attacks way before they manifest?
I understand how you feel – in fact I have spent years trying to control my anxiety attacks – so I know what you are going through.
Today I have a secret to share with you that will help you eliminate intrusive thoughts that can, otherwise, hamper your better judgment and thus set the stage for the next panic episode.
Get this – almost 90% of those who suffer from panic attacks don’t know the number one reason why their attacks re-occur.
If you are one of the statistics, then soon you wouldn’t be.
But first, let me ask you this: Have you ever been scared of having an attack before you ever had your first one?
If you are like the rest of us, your answer should be a resounding “No” or, as most answer emphatically – “Never!”
So what is this secret? It is this…
Fear of the next attack. Yes, fearing the next attack = anticipating it = a full blown panic attack.

Think back and ask yourself this:  what had brought on the second attack? Wasn’t it the fear of having one?
As you probably know – during an attack all brain activity shifts to the mid-brain, an area of the brain that is not only home to the fight or flight response, but also a part of the brain that is incapable of reasoning.
That is why we are not capable to apply reason and stop the attack while in progress.
But you can do is use reasoning before way before an attacks begins – like right now.
Here is what you can do:
1)    Acknowledge and face your fear
2)    Make a commitment to never again fear a future panic attack
3)    Monitor your thoughts  and be on the lookout for intrusive thoughts

Warning:  Do not underestimate the above.
Once accomplished, you will amazed by the dramatic reduction of your anxiety level.

http://infosharenow.com/30 ********* Panic Attacks – Anxiety or Panic Disorder? Learn the difference between the two and how to stop them!

Anxiety and panic disorders can cause some truly awful feelings and symptoms. Symptoms of a panic attack include dizziness, heavy sweating, hard breathing and uncontrollable shaking. A panic attack is an exaggerated version of the human response to danger. With a panic disorder, you may experience all of these symptoms even though they are not triggered by actual danger.

An anxiety attack on the other hand, has symptoms that often mirror those of a heart attack, including chest discomfort, tingling or numbness in the extremities and an impending sense of doom. It is unfortunately all too easy for a panic attack to trigger an anxiety attack or vice versa.

http://www.panicawaysystem.net There are many people in the world who suffer from severe and debilitating panic attacks. These attacks can feel like they come from nowhere, or the individual may be able to identify the exact reason that they experience panic. For some, panic only occurs in public places in which case those individuals may isolate themselves to their homes in order to avoid uncomfortable situations. Some people experience panic from obsessive worry, or feelings of no control, and this panic can crop up anywhere.

There is one fact that most who suffer from panic attacks would agree upon. The attack itself is terrifying. Individuals may feel extreme chest pain like a heart attack. Other feelings include feeling clausterphobic, feeling a shortness of breath, stomach pain, crying uncontrollably, or an immediate need to get out of the situation causing them discomfort. This can be humiliating or embarrassing for the person experiencing one of these episodes. They often realize that there is no real threat, but their body reacts this way, and it can feel like there is not a way to control their panic. This is simply not true. So what are some of the ways that people can reduce panic attacks. http://www.panicawaysystem.net

I am Seeking Professional Help…

As many of you know, I deal with depression/anxiety/panic attacks as well as agoraphobia and have dealt with the anxiety/panic attacks and the agoraphobia for almost two years now. My mom and brother have free health insurance from the American Indian Health Project and they brought me some paperwork one day to fill out so I could get some help. (I am also eligible for the free health insurance since I am Cherokee Indian, but was never able to take advantage of it due to the agoraphobia). The nurse at the American Indian Health Project even said she would come out and see me personally due to the anxiety/panic attacks and agoraphobia. Being hard-headed and not wanting any help, I put away the paperwork never giving a second thought to the possibility of getting help. Now that I’ve thought about it, and now that I’ve suffered for nearly two years with the anxiety/panic attacks and agoraphobia, I’ve decided to seek professional help. I would appreciate all of your prayers, and to God be the glory! Amen.
