How to lose weight when I have agoraphobia and anxiety?

Hi. I am 16, 6ft, and weight about 235 pounds. I am very fat, and I am desperate to lose weight, to build confidence.

I have agoraphobia and anxiety, and it is very hard for me to go out and exercise or join the gym. Is there anyway that I can lose weight then in the house. All I have are light weights. So, is there anyway to lose weight. Or could I lose weight walking around my park for an hour four times a week?

Thanks

you can lose weight by just walking my sister did and she just watch her parsons of food she was eating. she didn't really go on a diet or anything and she lost a lot of weight.

How can you tell when chocolate's gone gad?

Sometimes I'll recieve a box of chocolates or even get a bar from the store that has a white-ish film on it, and it's kinda more crumbly than usual. Is this because it's gone bad?

'Best before end' dates

This are dates often found on food packets that state the least possible time for the food to go out of date, i.e. that the food will go off. Quite often these are actually totally pointless, as the food simple does not go out of date. Take chocolate for example. The date on chocolate states that it's life is relatively short, but in reality, chocolate will last near-enough for ever. Sometimes, on the other hand, these dates can be used to your advantage. Take, milk or orange juice for example. My suggestion for the food of this type is to check the Best Before End date as a swig of out of date orange juice may not be the most tasteful of beverages. To find the best before end date simple take any food packet and find a little label, often positioned near the bar code. This label may say something like "Best Before End-See Cap" on a bottle or "Best before End-See Base" on a box or packet. You will then be taken on a tour of the packet as you go from one label to the next, each indicating you to move on to a different area of the packet.

buy It’s Alive

Nowadays, best before end dates are even more ridiculous. Not only do companies put on a date when the said product will supposedly go out of date; they often now add a time to it. For example "Best Before Date- 05-11-01 17:34" This product would the go out of date on the 5th of November 2001 at 34 minutes past 5 p.m. This is obviously a pointless feature to best before dates and should be ignored. Other best before date to be ignored are:
Dates on Matches, dates on chocolate, dates on beer, dates on tinned goods, dates of most frozen foods… the list goes on and on.
My advice is to completely ignore the Best before date and use your own mental and physical assets: Smell the food, Look at the food, feel the food, think whether the food would be out of date. This is a FAR better alternative that the dates that are printed on packets.

It is VERY important NOT to mix up "Best Before End" dates and "Display Until" dates. The "Display Until" dates are more an indicator to the shop as to when the product should be kept.

These dates are not completely useless. You can make them into a financial advantage to yourself. If you notice that a product in a shop is nearing its "Best Before" or "Display Until" date then you should be able to get a discount to the goods. Often shops will have already reduced the price for you but it is always best to try a little persuasion. After all you can only make a fool of yourself.

Rules of Chocolate
——————————————————————————–
If you've got melted chocolate all over your hands, you're eating it too slowly.

Chocolate covered raisins, cherries, orange slices and strawberries all count as fruit, so eat as many as you want.

The problem: How to get two pounds of chocolate home from the store in a hot car. The solution: Eat it in the parking lot.

Diet tip: Eat a chocolate bar before each meal. It'll take the edge off your appetite, and you'll eat less.

If calories are an issue, store your chocolate on top of the fridge.
Calories are afraid of heights, and they will jump out of the chocolate to protect themselves.

If I eat equal amounts of dark chocolate and white chocolate, is that a balanced diet? Don't they actually counteract each other?

Money talks. Chocolate sings. Beautiful.

Chocolate has many preservatives. Preservatives make you look younger. Therefore, you need to eat more chocolate.

Put "eat chocolate" at the top of your list of things to do today. That way, at least you'll get one thing done.

A nice box of chocolates can provide your total daily intake of calories in one place. Now, isn't that handy?

If you can't eat all your chocolate, it will keep in the freezer. But if you can't eat all your chocolate, what's wrong with you?

Natural anxiety relief questions?

I've been struggling with anxiety recently but do not want to go to the doctor nor do I want to take prescription medication. I've seen a couple of websites showing all natural relief to anxiety. The 2 that I have seen are CLAROCET NRI and SEREDYN. I was wondering if anyone has any experience with these supplements and what they think about them. Please help, any info would be most appreciated.

Along with the two brands you mentioned you might also want to check out Panicyl – http://www.panicyl.com

It is a natural alternative to antidepressants that works very effectively.

Aside from a good natural remedy you might also find some good information on cognitive techniques to beat anxiety including:

-learning breathing techniques to stop an anxiety attack
-avoid caffeine, alcohol, and sugar
-incorporate anxiety-friendly foods into your diet
-take a class on yoga or a similar art
-seek out forums on the internet with other anxiety sufferers

Hope this helps! God bless!

I have been diagnosed with General Anxiety Disorder and I also have Panic Attacks. I have been put on anti-depressents and go to the dr. regularly. I took a month off of work from both of my jobs. I have went back to the jobs this past Tuesday, and it is still VERY difficult to work and concentrate and even get out of bed.

Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed

Is this a valid reason to qualify for disability? If so, how?

I do believe you can. My dad was put on "mental disability" due to depression. Contact your local disability office. Social Security I believe it is. Good luck and God bless you. I'm sorry you're having a difficult time, I pray that you get better.

I suffer from anxiety and panic attacks and if I get a bad one, I notice at the ER that my blood pressure shoots through the roof. Nothing TOO high but it can go 130/140s and very close to 150s, and the lower number can go into the 100-110 range.

Is this something I should be highly concerned with?

It normally drops to like 100 over 60 afterwards when I'm sedated, and it never stays at that level, but it can shoot up there in a matter of MINUTES!

Should I be concerned, becuase none of my doctors seem to be at all, whatsoever,

but people on this message board go crazy if you mention anything over 120/80.

I n eed some true advice.

I just saw a cardiologist today and he didn't seem the slightest bit concerned.

He didn't do any extensive tests on me since I Had heart palpitations frequently, but im also sick, so maybe during illness its more normal?

He said the palps and the anxiety/panic high bp are nothing to worry about.

Is this true?
I also notice that SOME times my LOWER number seems to be the most dramatically increased, and other times its the HIGHER number.

What could cause the lower one to increase, and what would cause the higher?

idk but its certianly not good for you. i have social anxiety with panic attacks, it sucks im on prozac for it and it really helps.

I am having a slight panic attack as we speak… It feels as though my heart is beating faster, I'm a bit fidgety. I tried to go to sleep, but I can't and lying down makes me feel worse. I am trying to stop it before it escalates. Are there any quick suggestions that I can do right now? Are there any medicines I should have on standby if this happens in the future, as from time to time I am prone to these attacks.

I've never had panic/anxiety attacks before until this morning and so far I am on my third one today. My heart starts pounding so bad I feel like it is going to explode, I cant breathe, I cant think, I start crying I just dont know what to do!?! I am Effexor as it is for depression. I know alot has to do with the severe stress I am under, bills mounting, bill collectors calling left and right, possible divorce, my oldest daughter started kindergarten this week, I just dont know what to do anymore! How do I make this stop? I feel like I am going insane!

firth things first…calm down by doing something you like to do…next talk to your doctor…you may be on the wrong drug to treat your depression…go to a company that deals with dept management and have him/her create a custom payment plan to help you get out of dept

I feel naseous and have a migraine coming on, very much like being motion sick, but I've just been sitting on the couch, working. I'm hoping these are because of the anxiety attack, and not me getting sick?

After anxiety attacks, you can start to hyperventilate, which from the short breaths, and lack of proper oxygen, it can make you extreamly nauseated, and give you a whopper of a headache. But make sure you were experiencing an anxiety attack. theres symptoms due to anxiety will fade in a few hours if you can calm yourself a bit. if you know it was anxiety for sure, a doctor can prescribe you some anti-anxiety pills. But its a hard prescription to get unless you have the correct anxiety symptoms. It could be a possible bug, but most likley you would have felt a little crummy prior to the headache and tummy ache. good luck! feel better
